Our production site in Traun
We are particularly proud that all our powders and mustard products are produced at our company site in Traun, Upper Austria. In addition to traditional products such as Haas baking powder and Haas BBQ mustard, new products and innovations also come off the production line every year. Our close-knit and ideally matched team guarantee reliable and flexible processing of everything related to technology, production, quality assurance, product development and logistics. The 16 production employees are spread across the food and spice sectors. Due to their many years of experience in our company, they not only run the machinesbut are also responsible for the monitoring of the production process and ensuring smooth procedures.
When producing our products, we value not only faultless processes during production, but also product development itself. This is always decisive in fulfilling our high quality standards. This is why we invest in our own in-house team which develops new product areas. Recipes are developed and improved for existing and similar products, new packaging options are tested and new product categories are established here. At Ed. Haas, we are also aware of the importance of smooth interaction between all those involved after the production of our perfect products. The intensive coordination between production, the warehouse and freight forwarding not only enables quick order processing and ideal storage of products, but also seamless traceability.
Food production - real all-round ability
The term “food” is used for our products for baking, preserving and desserts. With five modern installations, packaging sizes from 8g to 25kg and multi pack options from one bag to up to 6-piece packaging: our production is characterised by a high level of flexibility. Thanks to successive adaptations of various recipes and deliberate avoidance of trickier raw materials, we can design our production to be almost allergen-free - a sign of our real all-round abilities!
Mustard production
It is not only diverse mustard products that are produced in our spice facilities. They also offer the option of manufacturing and filling numerous other spice pastes and horseradish products. Thanks to the combinaiton of defined grinding settings and special cooling techniques, we can guarantee consistently high quality as well as a distinctive taste. With filling amounts of 100g, 200g and 330g, we have tubes available in the three most common sizes. We also offer the possibility of filling 5 kg buckets for the catering sector.

The production process is within a closed system. This guarantees accurate and clean filling.

Each product is weighed directly after filling and checked before it leaves production (packaged in boxes).

Clamping and transporting the foil over several carrier rollers guarantees an optimal appearance of the product.

Ed. Haas stands for quality. For us, this starts with the careful selection and inspection of materials and goes from the monitoring of production processes through to the control of the created product by our internal quality assurance. Thanks to this way of working, we have obtained IFS and RSPO and on top of that we are also UTZ certified.
We stand for sustainability
Conscious handling of resources, intelligent production planning and responsible waste management are natural for us. In addition to initiatives concerning UTZ and RSPO for sustainable cocoa and palm oil cultivation and FSC as well as PEFC for resource-saving packaging, we also work with Interseroh as independent environmental and waste specialists.
